1. Acceptance
By using SandPass (the browser extension, web application, or any related service), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use SandPass.
2. Service Description
SandPass is a zero-knowledge password manager. We provide encrypted storage for your credentials, secure autofill, password generation, and related security tools. All encryption and decryption happens on your device.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Master password: You are solely responsible for your master password. We cannot recover it. If you lose it, your vault data is permanently inaccessible.
- Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices and account credentials.
- Lawful use: You agree to use SandPass only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws.
4. Zero-Knowledge Limitation
Because SandPass uses zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot:
- Reset or recover your master password
- Access, read, or modify your vault data
- Recover your data if you lose your master password
This is a fundamental security feature, not a limitation of our support capabilities.
5. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Your encrypted vault data is cached locally in your browser extension, allowing offline access to your credentials even when our servers are unavailable.
6. Data Ownership
Your data belongs to you. We store only encrypted blobs that we cannot read. You can export your data at any time in CSV format and delete your account whenever you choose.
7. Limitation of Liability
SandPass is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use SandPass, including but not limited to data loss resulting from a forgotten master password.
8. Termination
You may stop using SandPass at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for unlawful purposes. Upon termination, your encrypted data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
